HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS March 25, 2021

Thursday Schedule:

Girls Basketball:

Section 1AA Championship at Rochester Century High School: Goodhue (17-4) vs. Lake City (17-3) 6:40pm pre-game 7pm game on KLCH Lake Hits 95 and on-line at www.lakehits95.com with Craig Kennedy and KWNG 106 and on-line at www.kwng.com with Jack Colwell.

Lake City won the two regular season meetings 50-33 in Lake City on February 4th and 62-50 in Goodhue on March 2nd.

Lake City is looking for their first state tourney berth since 1984.   Goodhue is aiming for their eight state tourney berth in the last 13 seasons.

The winner advances to the State Girls Basketball Tournament next week with the quarterfinals on March 30th or 31st depending on the bracket.

Friday:

Wrestling:

Lake City has four wrestlers in the State Class AA Tournament starting at 2pm at St. Michael-Albertville High School.  Luke Skifton (132), Jonathan Harvey (145), Joe Kozlowki (152) and Max Balow (285) compete for the Tigers.  Gavin Peterson (106) and Calvin Singewald (113) represent Cannon Falls.

Saturday:

Wrestling:

Goodhue has Maddox O’Reilly at 138 lbs in the State Class A Tournament starting at 2pm at St Michael-Albertville High School.   Carter Quam represents Kenyon-Wanamingo at 195.  Zumbrota-Mazeppa grapplers include Jack Krier (106), Kaleb Lochner (120), Beau Jurens (145) and Ethan Kovars (195).
