Rising waters from the Mississippi River have caused more road closures in Red Wing. The following areas are affected:

• Colvill Park remains closed
• Bay Point Park is closed
• The parking lot by Bay Point Marina is closed
• Levee Road is closed by Red Wing Grain, and officials anticipate needing to close Levee Road from the boat harbor up to the round about.
• East Fifth Street by the entrance to Barn Bluff/He Mni Can is closed. Subsequently, there will be no vehicle access to Isaac Walton or the Water Treatment Plant.

The City continues to have sand for bagging free and available to residents at their lot at 2050 Levee Road. The lot can still be accessed by vehicles, regardless of partial road closures in that area.

All inquiries regarding flooding events and their impact in Red Wing should be directed to Laura Blair Johnson, Public Information Officer for the City of Red Wing.
